Mrs. Turner’s class completed a scavenger hunt, wrote about their favorite square and made a paper quilt.  Next up is a contest to design a square for a new quilt.  Quilt 2 has traveled over 1700 miles so far this year.

After leaving Mrs. Turner’s classroom the quilt traveled to Holland, Pennsylvania to visit Mrs. Moore’s classroom at Hillcrest Elementary School.  There Quilt 2 was on display in the school library for the entire school to see.  Mrs. Moore’s students also enjoyed completing a scavenger hunt before sending the quilt to it’s next destination.

Quilt #2 is currently at Pine Meadow Elementary School in Sartell, Minnesota where the current temperature is 22°F. The temperature in Sartell is 7 degrees colder than Anchorage, Alaska!  Stay warm Quilt #2 as you continue your travels in the lower 48!
